I have no degree and the qualifications I have are in the Arts (Highers:History, English, modern studies etc)

    you would need a 4 yr college degree before anything. then
    you have to take the entrance exams and get accepted into medical school . you may have to go back and take a bunch of science courses first or get an undergrad degree in something science related or pre-med. and unless your GPA was 3.8 or higher, you probably have little chance of getting accepted to med school

    Probably only you can really evaluate if you want to spend the next 12-15 years working like a dog (up for 30 hours +) & studying like crazy with 80% of your life tied up in medicine. For some, that is worth it, for others, in their early 50′s they want to start winding down & enjoying life and spend time away from the job and enjoy their labor’s fruits, so to speak. So that is something you will have to totally soul search.

    No, were all gonna have to work into our 70′s anyway because of the pension crisis so you might as well be doing something you want.
