Any kind of tax will most certainly be passed on to the consumer. Cannot take away from their bottom line. They might make $50B a year in profits, but they will deny your claim in a heartbeat.

to sign of some kind. No matter who offers what. Obama would sign
nothing that he could spin and make look like something to appease

That’s not to mention that this claim of lower costs is a blaitant lie. Section 207…”Taxes on individuals without acceptable coverage.” Section 441…”Surcharge on high income individuals.”

Those who idea is that the Government wants to drive private insurance companies out of business. By raising taxes on Insurance Companies they know those costs will be passed on to consumers as all corporate taxes are (so much for Obama’s pledge not to raise taxes on that 95%). This will increase the cost of Health Insurance premiums and drive more people straight into the waiting inescapable arms of the Government Option.
