Did You Need All The Staff That You Packed For The Hospital?
I know you have to take a lot of things with you to the hospital. But with everything that I was suggested to pack, it seems huge. Did you really need all of that? What would you leave out?

Here is a good tip. Do not pack anything that the hospital will provide for you. For example: They will have diapers, breast pads, maxi pads, etc. Also, consider just wearing their night gowns, because you will be bleeding a lot and they will get very messy. Plus, by that point you may not care at all.
Some things people often forget to pack:
1. clothes and snacks for hubby
2. cell phone charger
3. list of people to call.
4. Clothes for the baby to get their picture in and to wear home.
Also remember this, you will probably have tons of family dropping in and out, they can always run to your house and get you anything that you forgot.

I had a scheduled induction. I knew that the first night would be boring as they were ripening my cervix overnight before starting pitocin the next day. I brought all kinds of books, puzzles, games, cards, handheld game stuff. I was convinced that I would need stuff to do while in labor.
Well… when I actually got to the hospital, I was so nervous and excited that I didn’t want to play ANYTHING! When I arrived, I was having contractions every 5 to 7 minutes, so the ripening made them get regular on their own. By the time they started pitocin, I was in hard active labor and feeling LOTS of pain. So I didn’t end up using ANY of the “pass the time” stuff I brought, and I had devoted an entire tote bag to just that. lol. After my baby was born, I was to wrapped up in her, my husband, and rest to worry about doing any kind of activity.
