There may or not be expectations, but not always from scratch. It all depends on the job responsibilities. If you apply for a fiscal related job such as payroll, accounts receivable, etc.then the expectations will increase. Most employers don’t expect you to be a spreadsheet genius from the start. The job you describe is likely to require that you enter data/delete data, etc. Once you start using excel with real time data it’s amazing how quickly you will pick it up. In addition, there will almost always be somebody around to ask for help if you get stuck. Good luck!

That depends on where you work.
    Some places rely on Excel.
    Others don’t.
But if you need help in Excel, just ask.
