Do You Work Full Time And Go To Nursing School Part Time?

I am planning on a career change and want to go back to school to get an LPN next year. I work nights in an office and could go to school part time in the evenings. Is anyone doing or has done this? I need any and all tips of any kind that would be helpful.
I have no young children, and am single.

I worked full time to pay for my education through my BSN-RN program. It was difficult, but I was able to manage, and my employer was flexible in working around the schools clinical rotation schedule.
I also worked full time while obtaining my MSN as a Nurse Practitioner, and my Ph.D.
If you have a goal, go for it, During my MSN, I had 2 babies at home, but my wife took the time to be a stay at home mother. During my Ph.D., my wife was also taking her BSN program full time, and our kids were in pre school and kindergarten. Again, it is difficult, and time consuming, but we made time for school, work and our family.
If you want it, go for it!

I Think its a great idea that you have decided to do this in your career. I am vary glad that you have come to a point in your life where you want a change. I think changing into the healthcare division is an excellent idea. The only thing that i can tell you is dont let anyone discourage you on this change. My wife and i both did so after years of working in the retail industry. Both of us completed it after 3 1/2 years with our degrees in nursing and we did so while working fulltime and raising our 3 children. I strongly suggest that you dont listen to any negative comments and GOOD LUCK!

Don’t know about your area but a local hospital here will give you all the nurse training you need as long as you agree to work there for at least 3 years. Maybe there is something like that in your area and from what I understand it’s paid training.
There is such a nurse shortage many hospitals are doing this so give it a try and call your local hospital

I am working on my rn, am single, have two kids, and work full time most of the time. You can do it but it’s hard work.
