Does A Hospital Have To Report An Outbreak Of The Staff Infection?
Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, Texas has had several cases of Staff Infection. I've known of 2 personally and one of them has died. Shouldn't this hospital have to report to someone that they have a problem with Staff Infections? Doesn't the public have the right to know?

Oh, yes. The state dept of health likes to be informed of this kind of thing.
Chances are the hospital has a doctor whose job is to monitor something like this and take care of the paperwork and other stuff.

Apparently not. They are trying to change this, so that it will be mandatory.

yes, i would think that they should have to let the public know. possibly the american medical association where you live could help you out with this. hope this helps. good luck.

Sorry, but the idea of a Staff infection made me laugh. You mean Staph infection. All communicable diseases must be reported to the Health Dept. but not to you the public.
