   i am a liberal and he is pissing me off. He should come to the realization that he needs to work on keeping the dems on his side instead of compromising with the GOP. Every time he makes huge sacrifices to please conservatives they still dont vote for his bills. He needs to stop being a wimp and fix the country with the people that want to fix the country not getting on his knees in front of the regressive party

   Uh, he doesn’t have that power. Congress does, which is why they’re hammering out drafts of bills on which to vote.
   But he obviously has a clear grasp of what sorts of things need to happen. I would have preferred him producing the bill, and asking Congress to pass it. Such a bill probably would have been better than what we’ll get.
   Of course, if what Congress hands him is really bad, he can veto.

    THERE WILL BE NO NATIONALIZATION OF HEALTH CARE
    THE ONLY THING THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO DO IS ADD AN OPTION FOR NON-PROFIT INSURANCE FOR THE POOR & UNEMPLOYED.
    [I go to the Dallas VA Medical Center and the government doesn’t even run THAT!]
    HOW WILL THEY PAY FOR IT?
    >DRUG DISCOUNTS
    >CONCENTRATING ON PREVENTATIVE CARE
    [Currently, the poor only have the E.R. at county hospitals and that’s THE MOST EXPENSIVE CARE THERE IS!]
    >ELIMINATING WASTE &
    >LOCKING UP PEOPLE WHO COMMIT FRAUD!
    WANNA KNOW WHO DOESN’T WANT CHANGE?
    THE INSURANCE COMPANIES
    THEY EAT 40% OF EVERY HEALTH CARE DOLLAR.
    FOR WHAT WE PAY NOW, WE COULD INSURE EVERY MAN, WOMAN & CHILD IN AMERICA WITH NO DEDUCTIBLE, NO COPAY COVERAGE.
