For Nursing Is It Better To Attend A College Or A Nursing School?
I am a junior in high school and I have been considering nursing as a career. I have heard a lot of different things about nursing, some people tell me its better to go to nursing school and others say a college is better. I would greatly appreciate if any nurses or people informed about nursing could give me some information about this topic or anything that would help me out! thank you so much!

The advantage of attending a college for your nursing degree is that the scope of your education and future opportunities will be greater. Also, if you decide at some point to change careers, having a university degree will enable you to go directly into a graduate program. For example, you might decide to get a Master’s degree in nursing, or become an administrator. With a nursing degree from a school of nursing, you will have to take undergraduate courses prior to pursuing your studies.

It depends on whehter or not you are going to want to go even further in your career once you have either your LPN or RN. If you want to get your bachelor’s in nursing at some point, I would suggest going to college to get your nursing degree. If not, you can go to a nursing school, since that will just be a certificate of completion type program.
