Not a bit. All they care about is there mega salaries and mega profits. this is for profit are with little concern about anything else. Do you see the Dems calling for price controls and ceiling caps for profits and salaries for execs? Is the GOP calling for an investigation in the industry and how they do business? NOPE NADA

  2. AKA FrogButt Says:

I have heard that the Republicans are more big business oriented so that would mean that the big business of insurance would prefer them.

Well they care as we ALL should care. Why because socialized health care is mediocre health care. The Health care industry represents about 10% of the entire Gross domestic output of the United States economy To put that segment under the control of of the same people that can’t keep the roads paved and free of pot holes is a recipe for disaster. Case in point about 3 Summers ago France a country with cradle to grave Socialized Medicine, had a heatwave that lasted about a week. That event resulted in the deaths of 16,000 elderly French due to heat stress A relatively easily treated condition. On a per capita basis that would be the same as 60,000 U.S. elderly perishing because of heat mind you the vast majority of these elderly French were under supervised care. Another consideration is the impact that our market driven health care industry gives to medical advancement. Most innovations in health care technologies come from the evil capitalist health care industry. A collectivization of our health care will drastically cut down on new cures and treatments…

the Insurance Industry as a whole overwhelmingly contributes to the Republican party…why is that?
    Have your premiums gone down?
Were you forced to join an HMO?
Republicans and their allies in the insurance industry have managed to fool a substantial portion of the nation’s opinion-making elite into thinking that Medicare’s problem is a cost-containment problem as opposed to a choice-of-financing problem, and that this problem can be ameliorated if health insurance companies are allowed to guard the Medicare chicken coop.
If the privatizers succeed in fooling a majority in Congress, and if the Medicare voucher experiment is rigged, Medicare will gradually be transformed from the most efficient insurance program in the country into a mere funnel of tax money into insurance company coffers. Classic Medicare will have been starved down to a small program for the very sick or killed off entirely. Those who committed this crime will deny their complicity. They will point their finger at all those seniors who “voted with their feet.”

Yes Health Care companies would prefer republicans in power. For one main reason democrats want a national (if you aint sick don’t go to a doctor) Health plan. That would have horrible coverage and cost more than any insurance ever has. So yes republicans are better for the health care industry and better for us if we want a better quality of life in this country.
Dont let the few mistakes however large it was by our current leadership make you think republicans are bad. Think of all the screwups of Bill Clinton.
