The average RN in the US makes an average salary of $58,000 per year, though some areas may be much higher. The averahe Psych NP makes $80,000 per year and may make well over $125,000 depending on their practice and location.
Some Psych NPs are employed as part of the hospital staff, but they will normally make more working in a private practice situation.
