When I went to Nursing school we had nursing classes for 2 hours, three days a week and 8 or 12 hour clinicals at a hospital or clinic 1 -2 days a week. When we did 12 hour clinicals it was 1 day and vice versa. Of course if you are in a traditional program you will also have to take all of your regular classes like science, math, english etc.. while in school too.
Basically I was in classes 8-12 M,W,F and in clinicals for 8 hours on Tues and Thursdays for 2 years. I also worked full-time in a hospital as a nursing assistant in the evening and at night on weekends. If you have to work full-time while in school you will have no life. But if you don’t have to do that then there will still be time for family and friends you will just have to prioritize your spare time wisely.
If this is something you want to do it will definately be worth it in the long run for the sacrifices you must make for the 2-3 years you will be in school.

It depends on what kind of program you take. If you are taking an accelerated program, you can expect to be there at least 3-4 days a week. If you are taking a traditional nursing program through a community college, you can expect to go to classes 3-4 days a week and spend a good 25-30 hours in classes as well as clinicals at local hospitals. You will really not be able to work more than 15 hrs per week in order to focus on your studies. If you are okay with working more hours, then that is up to you, but its a very hard program and takes a lot of study time. Good luck!

Clinicals are between 8 and 12 hours one or two days a weeks (depending on how many areas you’re in at one time). on top of that there are classes and studying; you’re basically doing something full time the whole time you’re in school. Don’t even think about having a life! It’s a long and hard road, but the payoff is amazing (I love my job!)
