How Realistic Do Hospital Staff Think Medical Drama’s Are? I Liked The Old Show St Elswhere How Do You Rate It

My collegues and I used to watch Holby City and Casualty when I worked on the wards of a big teaching hospital, but purely so we could pick holes in the episodes the next day at work...it was quite amusing to see the medics do ECG tests on a talking fully clothed patient with the electrodes stuck to the outside of their clothes !, and the constant use of the condition "Pneumothorax"and the annoying feature of none of the medical or nursing staff wearing gloves, which as a team we always did. My boss at the time went to the states and visited the hospital where ER was based and reported back that it really was like the show...so I guess ER has to win hands down.

When St Elswhere was on i watched that show, it was great did not like it when they quit making the show. Now i like ER on Wednesdays here at 9 pm the new ones are good, but i like the older one with Dr. Green he died from a brain tumor that made me sad. They try to make it as real as possible ER has doctors come in and show them how things are done and what to say and how to act like real doctors.
