How To Apply For Nursing School?
I have done some research but am still confused about the admission process to school of nursing. http://www.nursing.uconn.edu/index.php?o…
Please take a look at this website of the school tha tI wish to attend. If you see the question "How do I apply to the school of nursing," you will see that the answer says that the incoming freshmen must declare nursing as major in the application. Does it mean that once the applicant is accepted, he or she doesn't have to go through another adimssion to take BSN program? If yes, then why does it say that one of the requirements to the school of nursing is the pre-requisite classes, which are taken in freshman year? I am so confused. Please help me and a through answer will be nice. Thank you.

Let me see if i can help you. I am a freshman at WSU (wichita) and i am also majoring in nursing. I was really confused too. Once your excepted to the university you start all your general ed classes, or pre-req’s. That is usually done your freshman year, and even depending on the college your sophmore year as well. But just because you accepted into the university does NOT mean that your automatically in the nursing school. Usually nursing schools are competitive and look at a students GPA, which usually has to be about 3.0. After or when your close to finishing all ur gen. edu classes, apply to the nursing school then. I hope that was clear enough. Good luck. PS: talk to your advisor or counselor about the classes you need to take and your other classes, they will probably help more than i can.
