I Am Looking For Anyone In The Health Care Industry That Would Not Mind Helping Me Out.?
I was recently assigned a project that i have to find 4 careers in the health care field and do an interview with them. My teacher gave me the idea to do this assignment via email so i figured this would be a good place to start. If you can help it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Here is the interview:
1. Name of person interviewed:
2. Place of employment:
3. Job title:
4. What are the major duties and responsibilities?
5. What are your educational requirements?
6. What special skills are required for this career?
7. Are there any special physical demands?
8. Are there any special materials, equipment, machinery, etc., that you have to know how to use in this career?
9.How many other people do you work with?
10. What personal qualities does a person need for this career?
11. What do you like best about your job?
12. What do you like least about your job?
Any help is appreciated. Have a good day. (:

1. Amy Cookson
2. Link Ability
3. Social Care Worker
4. Ensuring I integrate the people I support into the community, and enabling them to make informed choices for themselves.
5. There are no specific requirements, as full training is provided. An NVQ Level 2 is required to work at senior/management level.
6. Good communication, patience, reliability, and commitment.
7. A great deal of manual handling is involved, and special training is given for using hoists etc.
8. Again, special training is given to use hoists and lifting equipment. Also, Peg training is required before you can use one. Medicines canot be ministered without training, especially emergency meds like Midazolam and Diazapam.
9. About 10 on a regular basis though many more work for the company at other bases
10. They need to be patient, and understanding. Many of the people we support have limited communication, so being able to understand their way of communicating is ideal, but it comes with time. Being encouraging is a very useful skill, because many of the service users will try to get out of their jobs when they first work with you by pretending they can’t do them. Lastly, being confident in what you are doing is the best quality when working with service users with challenging behaviour because if they sense that you are afraid or will let them get away with something, they understand and use it against you for the rest of your time with them.
11. I like the people I meet. The people I support have many endearing qualities.
12. There are some frightening situations when service users become violent.
