I Have Nothing But Admiration For Hospital And Ambulance Staff.?

A couple of times in my local paper patients have come to greif whilst on hospital premises either by neglect or bad practise.
When asked about this the comment was no comment due to patient confidentiality.
Do you think this excuse is used by the health proffession as a cover up excuse or whitewash.By the way I speak from personal experiance.

Most accidents are caused because of pressure of work, some are caused because of cost cutting.
How many mal practice claims are against the individual, they are all taken out against the organisation.

its all down to money and become big business?and its shame as the health service got a great name too many mistakes and people not caring for people/patients as they should and that’s because of the lack o resources and the delivery of care in some areas are very poor also communication some times there is too little or none ?people forget that if this was a perfect world lots of people would not be in jobs?and yes they do try to cover up more and more or whitewash it over reflect back to the good old days and that’s not long ago?to they way it was bring back the matron cut back the higher arks and get more staff in all areas have a good day.

I have nothing but disdain for hospitals and ambulance people in Havelock, NC. When I was so very sick and dying due to dehydration and starvation caused by MS, one ambulance attendant (aptly named Homer) continually called me a “frequent flyer”. The hospital in New Bern, NC completely ignored my complaints and symptoms. My son had to take me to Chicago where there are real hospitals and real doctors for treatment. Turns out I had secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. The doctors in Chicago said two more days in North Carolina and I would have been dead.

I don’t think it is an excuse or whitewashing, it is the truth you cant put people’s names and problems in the local paper. They (hospitals/care givers) have a law call the HIPPA law, which means you can’t say anything about a pt or their treatment. If you remember a few weeks ago, Geo Clooney was in an accident and someone told the papers about it, all those employees got fired because they breached confidentiality. things happen at hospitals that cant always be controlled but they do the best they can.
