I Need A Career. Health Care Industry. Do Not Want To Nurse.?

Ilive in fl I am interested in finding a job in the health care industry. I can only work eenings, I am wlling to go to school to learn the skills. I do not want to be a nurse or cna. I want to be able to find a career quickly, and not spent more than 6 mo or so in school.
What would be good for me?
I am thinking some kind of technician?
Something with minimal hands on - no bed pans, no washing people, etc.
I have a lot f respect for people who can do that, i love to help people, but i dont want to do that.
Thanks!!!

I would definitely try to go for an xray tech or lab tech. I’m an xray tech and I’m able to support me and my little girl (shes about to be one) The only thing with xray is it takes 2 years to finish. Would your mom let you stay there til then? Its really worth it. I”m not exactly sure how long school is for a laboratory tech. Skills like these take time though. I ended up being a waitress while I finished school and now I work 40 hours a week and never live paycheck to paycheck anymore.

A career in the healthcare (For only 6 months). No way thats gonna happen unless that school is a scam. Even a Community College take a year and longer to finish ,depending on if u have ur prereq’s out the way like Math, English, etc…. If u go to a Community College (some classes are web base). So, go check out a Community College and see what they have to offer.

Perhaps be one of the people who works in the lab -
or an x ray tech – or a resp. therapist.
    Good Luck.
Phlebotomy, sometimes referred to as Venipuncture, is concerned with the drawing of blood for use in blood tests and collection. Phlebotomists are trained to work in hospitals, labs, and other medical facilities, often working alongside nurses and doctors in dealing with patients. A career in phlebotomy requires certification and training in how to use needles, vacuum tubes, and syringes.

It will take longer than 6 months…but being a HUC (health unit coordinator) aka medical secretary may be what you are looking for.
Basically they help with admission paperwork, MD orders (putting them in the computer) ordering supplies and medications occassionally, and quite a bit more…no real patient contact.

There are’nt many jobs for you that takes 6 months schooling…maybe dental asst?Phlebotomist? Why can’t you go to school longer and get certified for the BIG BUX? There are PELL GRANTS if money is the issue.
How bout this one> NOTHING IN THE MEDICAL FIELD.
Think about what you love and start from there. Remember, Oprah always says when you do what you love-the money will follow.
