I Was Kicked By Another Staff Member At My Hospital. What Should I Do?

I was kicked by another nurse under the table w/no witnesses. Do I report it?
I was kicked under the table with no witnesses by another nurse. As she was saying it she was like "pay attention when I am talking to you." She is known as a bully by other staff nurses. Rumor has it she has friends in management.
What should I do?
Has this ever happened to you?
What was the outcome?

Kicking you under the table satisfies the emelements for the tort cause of action of battery, but unless you suffered actual damages, you’re not likely to get much in a court case. I would go to her supervisor and report her, and let her know under to uncertainterms that if she touches you again, you will be filing criminal charges. Ther eis no excuse for an adult to be behaving in this way.

I would chat with her supervisor about it.
I wasn’t bullied, but I had a coworker who used to try coming up behind me to tickle me. Finally I had to explain to her that I startle easily, and that I would feel awful if I elbowed her in the gut out of surprise. She got the message.
