In 2007, How Much Money Did The Health Industry Pay Politicians To Squash Health Care For Americans?

A lot.
That's why they are guilty of tyranny.
Jefferson said "I am against tyranny in ANY form." That includes Corporate tyranny.

Hillary gets millions and millions of dollars from healthcare firms and Wall Street firms… She’ll protect the rich at our expense.

Americans have health care. A minority just dont have Health Insurance.
People, come on, the insurance company is going to classify anything at first as pre existing. They did it to me and I was confused, so I called them, then all i had to do was a get a statement from my doctor, which I got, and I got my procedure approved and done within a week. Sometimes it takes a little work (but i know how you guys are afraid of actually having to do some work)

You think the government will handle your health care better?
    Good luck!

Why would they try to squash health care??? Isn’t that how the health industry makes money???
I’m sure that you mean socialized health insurance….
Liberals can’t even keep your terms straight…. do you see why you are so hard to take seriously.

To be more specific, how much did the Health Insurance industry pay politicians might be a better question. Barring socialized medicine, we seriously need regulation of the Health Insurance companies so they can’t say to us after we have paid into them for years that we have a “preexisting condition” that is not covered, or drop us entirely because we are having expensive treatment (made more expensive by the people who don’t have insurance who sought treatment and then couldn’t pay).

Too much. It is sad when money paid to a politician is more important than the lives that politician can save.
I live in the UK and work in the NHS (our universal health care system). It has problems, but not as many as the US healthcare system has. Despite spending much more per head of population than other developed countries, the US has worse health outcomes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care… Life expectancy and infant mortality figures in the US are worse than in other developed countries, despite more money being spent (and wasted) in the USA.
In the UK there are waiting lists for routine problems. Problems that can not wait are treated as emergencies. Also, in the UK, people can also have private health care.
I can understand Americans being proud of living in the richest and most powerful country in the world. What I can not understand is why Amercians settle for a more expensive healthcare system where babies die that would have a better chance of life if born in another developed country.
Beware loosing your job if you get healthcare through that. http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,,2… Or retiring if you have become ill when covered by work based insurance.
