We have heard of people doing this, but unsure if etiquette requires this. It has been over 2 weeks and we need to either do it, or just let it go...

Just take a quick glance at your hospital bill…that should convince you that they’re getting well-paid for it! A nice thank you card is all that’s necessary and proper & customary etiquette doesn’t call for anything more than that.

Not necessary, but you can if you want. Hospitals deliver many babies so if you wait too long, they probably won’t even remember the specifics of your birth, unless something major happened to make it memorable. You can send a card with a pic of baby to your OB. They usually post them on a wall or in a baby book in the waiting room.

Hi,
Don’t do it for etiquette purposes, do it because you want to; they will appreciate it even if it’s late. Send something they can eat – like cupcakes with blue/pink frosting; food is always a good choice. Best Wishes!

No, it’s not necessary and the nurses don’t expect it. However, I agree with the first response, maybe a card for the maternity floor would be nice.

Its not nessecary but a nice thankyou card to staff would be very appreciated by them I’m sure.

Not really, but they would love it. Like cookies, fruit or something like that..But, if money is tight, don’t worry about it.

It isn’t necessary, but it’s a nice thing to do if you want to do it.

probably a card for the ward and maybe a bunch of flowers or some chocolates, after all it is their job but its a kind gesture (:

It’s not necessary. But people do it anyways.

Let it go Peanut!
If you did not do it right away, it looks like an after thought and does nothing for you.
