Is The Info You Learn In Anatomy And Physiology Used In Nursing School?
hey everyone. i have a choice of taking A&P 1 and 2 over the summer or during the year. i was thinking it would be better to take during the year because i would have more time to study and digest the material. when i start nursing school, will it be important that i really understand the info from A&P? someone told me that it is really important, so i wondering what everyone else thought.
thanks in advance

Anatomy is so much fun. Beware of your lab partner, mine hogged the cat we disected, she was such a fuss i let her do it. And there are lots of points on a bone to memorize, they put a blue point on each name and then throw the bones in a box, then you pick a bone and have to name the points on the test. Cracked me up. Physiology was interesting someone stole the brazilian frogs we were supposed to pith and dissect to save them from animal cruelty, that was ok with me as they were as big as puppies. It pays to take physiology right after biology as the same systems are done in more depth. Also, I networked and had a lot of old tests to show me how a test would look. I remember the professor saying I’m morman and don’t believe we came from apes even though I teach it.

yeah it’s pretty important. very few people i know took the A & P “during” the nursing part of the education, most of them got it out of the way before. the ones that took it “during” seemed like all they ever do was study.
and yes, you use lots of the stuff in the nursing portion, so it gives you an advantage and helps with your grades.
good luck!
(you “can” do it over the summer, not easy, but it’s “doable”. you just try to find the better instructor so you will understand the material and pass the tests.”)

Yes it’s used in Nursing.
