Is The Lupoe Family Murder-suicide Tragedy A Strong Indicator Of The Weakness Of The Health Care Industry?

This man lost his job, along with his wife, and didn't know what to do.
People need to understand health care is not the industry of the future. I predict massive cut backs in this field when it is forced into fiscal reality. Don't you think it's kind of odd that the health care industry is continuing the thrive while every other industry is going down? Yeah, because they either bilk the insurance company or bankrupt everyone. All these people that are being hired, do you think they'll still be around when Obama nationalizes health care, or at least forces hospitals to get their costs in line?
NO!
Doctors will probably be ok, nurses will be a little bit better, but the rest of the people will probably be in great danger of losing their jobs.
I remember at some of the doctor's offices and clinics overseas, there usually is only a receptionist and the doctor or dentist. Some of these places have a whole staff of people here! That woman that had octuplets had 46 people working on her!
The real pain is going to be felt when the hospitals inevitably start majorly cutting back people. I just shake my head when I see all these auto workers retraining for those jobs...how long will they have them?

    Keen observation.
My aged mom and dad go to doctors constantly and their doctors charge the government a fortune for every visit ($600 for the dermatologist to touch a liquid-nitrogen-emersed Q-tip to a spot of skin cancer on my mom’s back…)
The doctors are breaking us. There outrageous fees will have to be curtailed.
Every young woman I know is going to nursing school…
There will be a lot of heart-ache when the medical industry cannot charge ill people whatever they feel like.

The health care industry is constantly trying to cut costs. It is not wasteful at all as it was twenty years ago.
How about the fact that we treat illegal aliens and people without insurance for NOTHING. Who do you think is paying for that? The hospital eats it. If you think health care is bad now, wait til it gets nationalized. Its really going to suck then.

It’s not the economy’s fault, despite what Villagarosa and the George Soros media say.http://michellemalkin.com/2009/01/28/the…

Yeah… it’s all the healthcare industries fault!!!! He would have never done it if they would have just gave him all the money they had!!!! Wait heck!!! Its the republicans fault!!!!

    Amen, Timelady!
You just wait until health care is rationed, like it is overseas. Wait 2+ years for your elective surgery. My father-in-law in England had a bladder catheter for a YEAR waiting for his prostate surgery, which would have been done in DAYS here.
I completely disagree with your assessment that the health care industry is “thriving”. Physicians are being screwed by insurance companies, as are patients. I don’t think you have a very good understanding of what actually goes on.
What other industry is forced to give their services away to people who cannot or CHOOSE not to pay? Well?
