If you can pass the entrance exams you can go to any school and take whatever courses you choose to. Many people go back to school after their children leave home.
At 33 years old, you haven’t even hit your prime years yet!! Now you have NO reason not to go get started on Monday.
Have you ever heard, “I am woman, hear me roar?” There ya go!!!!

    33?! are you kidding?!!!
    in my program
    25% = <21
    50% = 25-45
    25% >45
    You’d fit right in here!!
it’s never too late to start on your goals! Give it a shot!!

I’m 18 and I was going to school for my LPN and the wisest classmate was 55 years old. I transferred to another school but she’s like an A+ student at my old school… I recently saw a grandmother on Oprah (of course) graduate from… I want to say Yale??? but she’s a doctor now… which was always her dream… she was the first grandmother to graduate from there too!!! Age is nothing but a number so don’t let that stop you from pursuing your dream. and to be honest, you’re not old at all… I have other classmates in college older than you… good luck and I hope to see you posting another question on here soon asking us where’s a good place to work at as a nurse… GOOD LUCK IN YOUR FUTURE!!!!

Either your friend is spiteful or completely unaware that it’s 2007.
    You’re never “too old”

  6. Drama Queen Says:

no, a grandmother is attending yale medical school to become a doctor and if she can become a doctor that old, there should be no age restrictions to becoming a nurse! :)

  7. Alice the Bomb Says:

dont ever give up your dream if you want to do it no one can stop you

  8. jannsody Says:

No as that would be age discrimination. You are actually 33 years ‘young’ :) I just recently turned 35 btw so I can relate to feeling that way though ;)

  9. Mischele, RN? Says:

No, most definitely not. When I was in school, the average age was 32 with the youngest being 20 and the oldest being 48. You’re never too old. Many nurses held other jobs before getting into nursing.
