Is There Any Way To Recycle Medical Equipment?
I still have my daughter's respirator that she hasn't used for several years. I also have a manual breast pump with never used replacement parts as well as a sits bath basin that I never used. The plastics are not the kind that are accepted for recycling in my community but I hate to just throw these things away.
Is there an alternative to just throwing them into a landfill?

Independent Living Center in San Jose may take the items. And they will be used for loan/give to community members at low income or in emergency situations.

Yes, so glad you asked. Here in town is a company called Disabled Resource Services at 640 E. Eisenhower Blvd. (right behind the Little Angel’s consignment store. They take durable medical equipment. If they can’t use it they donate it to Help International who sends it to other people who can use the equipment.
