Medical Personnel: Where Should I Work Before Applying To Nursing School?
I'm very interested in getting "hands-on" experience in health care before nursing school, but I'm not really interested in filing papers and working the front desk of a doctors office. I
'd like to do some work in a hospital, but what can I do?? I have a B.S. in Human Development... would that qualify for any positions in a hospital? Any suggestions or specifics would be greatly appreciated!

Before, and while, you are going to nursing school, work at a hospital! That way the hospital will pay for your education.
You could always look in the peds ward for positions, or try the psych wards.

What about working in a nursing home as a caregiver? There are lots of them that give otj training which may give you an idea of what it is like dealing with patients. I don’t know that the degree you have would qualify you for anything specific in a hospital, but maybe as a counselor of some sort.
Good luck!!

You can get a jpb at your local hospital,a nursing home for the elderly and then you can get the hands on…even if it was as an NA or CNA….
