he was training for a marathon. He's on med's now, but is still doing his training. Can something serious happen on his 18 mile training saturday morning? He had blood in his stool, which is why he went to the doctor initially.

    If you can get your friend to the doctor and tell the doctor the truth, he will give him some good advice. A tear in the colon is a dangerous thing to neglect. The activity could cause it to tear further. The waste going into his cavity could cause infection to start, that could lead to strep and staff infection plus gangrene.
