My Friends Is Constant;ley Hurting Herself To Get Attention From Hospital Staff And Dr’s.?

My friend is constantey hurting herself to get attention from hospital staff and Dr's. Now she is admitted to the physc hospital I know this behavour is not normal but I also know their is a name for it when people innjury themselfs just to get hospital's staff and Doctors attention does anyone know what it is called. Just curious .

    It is called Munchausen’s syndrome. This diagnosis is becoming more popular with the young teens. It is most commonly diagnosed in mothers who make their children ill to get attention. That is called Munchausen’s by proxy.
    I hope your friend gets the medical and mental help she needs. It really is an illness that takes over you and becomes uncontrollable.
