Nurses And Other Hospital Staff, What Would Be The Most Meaningful Way To Thank You?
My Father is in Stage 4 of non small cell lung cancer. The onset was very quick. When he was in the Hospital the nurses and other staff were so kind. I feel like they went well beyond their duty to comfort the family as well as taking care of my Dad. I want to send some kind of significant Thank You to them. I can't send a Thank You card to each and every nurse, phlebotomist, aide, housekeeping and ect. Would a nice bouqet of flowers with a letter explaing how thankfull and comforting their service was suffice? I just want them to know what a difference they meant to us.

I’m a nurse and I can tell you that there is nothing nicer that the gratefulness of people we’ve helped. Yes, flowers and a nice note would be perfect. Also, some nice chocolates would also be appreciated.

Do you think you would feel comfortable at some point volunteering at the hospital? I have a friend who had cancer, and she volunteers at her oncologist’s office. She is a help to patients who have been diagnosed with the disease and can truly answer their questions as someone who has ‘been there’.

Flowers are always lovely. If you decide on chocolates, (loved by all)
please give a labelled box to each of the 3 shifts. I work nights, and we rarely get to see a choccy – occasionally we’re lucky to be left a few of the less favourite ones!!
