Once The Government Has Control Over The Health Care Industry, What Else Will They Tax To Pay For It?
We already see them raising the tax on cigarettes and people cheer because of the cost associated with smoking.
But, do people stop to think about what else they will tax the hell out of or make illegal due to "cost" associated with certain activities once the government is in control of the health care system?

In California, there’s a loud call to tax marijuana sales. And in Georgia, one lawmaker says he’s not giving up on his proposal for a state strip club surcharge.http://abcnews.go.com/Business/Economy/S...
The federal government would amass greater power over the financing and delivery of medical services; it would also determine the benefits and medical procedures that Americans would get and the prices providers are paid for them. This concentration of government power over health care would have a profound impact on all Americans, especially members of the medical profession.
Such government control would:
Result in substantially lower payments to physicians and other health care providers compared to a multiple-payer system;
Reduce the quality of care by limiting the ability of physicians to invest in advanced medical equipment that takes advantage of new technology;
Limit access to care in the near term, as current physicians and other professionals retire earlier or otherwise leave the profession;
Limit access to care even more substantially in the long term, as the prospect of lower lifetime earnings reduces the incentive for talented people to choose careers in health care; and
Reduce the rate of medical progress, because fewer talented people receiving medical training decreases the supply of talented medical researchers. o_O

I think that you will see taxes begin to rise on alcohol (sin taxes) in the near future. Followed closely by increased taxes on fast food (fat taxes). What amazes me with the support of these taxes on cigarettes is the fact that some people do not seem to be able to compute this out to it’s logical conclusion. If the government is allowed to tax freely and excessively by playing on people desires then at some point something you enjoy will also fall victim to this practice. Call it the law of unintended consequences.

Fast food, any grocery item with a high fat content, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, fuel and income to name just a few of the items that are likely to incur a federal tax or an increase.

Everything! Sales taxes would increase dramatically, and necessary spending, such as defense and education, would drop dramatically.

There’s almost nothing left to tax and you can only tax rich people so much before they renounce their American citizenship and move out of the country for good.
Universal health care will bankrupt this country.
