Question:- I Want To Take A Stratified Sample Of Size 10 From Hospital Staff, (doctors 8 Nurses 26 Others 46)
Calculate the number of each type of staff i should choose. ie how many docotors, nurses others etc.

this is your research you need to work that out for yourself depending on which hospital you are using

1 doctor, 3 nurses, 6 others. These are as near as you can get to the original staff ratios.
From what I can remember of inferential statistics (which ain’t a lot!) you need a sample size of 30+ for the results to mean much.

It really does depend on the question you are trying to answer. Regardless, I would be reluctant to have only one doctor in the sample as it is highly unlikely that such a sample would be representative of doctors, even in this situation.
Can you only have 10 subjects? If you had 15 or 20 splitting the sample in the way suggested by one of the other users. But, again, this really depends on the hypotheses being tested.
