When Hillary Clinton was the First Lady, she made Health Care reform her mission. After a while, she backed off the mission. Hence, the question.

The Congress would have no part of it. That is why she dropped it. Congress would have had to write it into law and they did not think the country was ready for it to put it mildly.

Well her original plan benefitted only insurance companies and the government in their quest for ultimate power. She’s basically offering the same concepts again–if you read closely she talks about what Congressmen get to choose from. She knows that the public MISTAKENLY BELIEVES that Congressmen get gold-plated FREE health care. However, as a member of Congress, she knows that is 100.0% FALSE. So it’s the old bait and switch–people believe her policy would provide insurance to all and make health care affordable. What it WOULD DO is:
result in wide-scale rationing, bankruptcy of the entire system, and the ultimate take over of “health care” by the government, but in the interim, the insurers would get even richer because she does not address ANY of their ABUSES.
Oh, and check out what Congress members ACTUALLY have to choose from and that they pay 28% premiums–granted not much–but it’s NOT free. There are deductibles and co-pays in their plans as well as some other limitations. NO PROVIDER is going to let a Congressman wait long or suffer or fight him on a bill, so he will get rock star treatment, BUT the plans may not be so kind to the OTHER federal employees who choose from the same menu–and if you think the public would get deferential treatment, you’re too naive for words.http://www.opm.gov/insure/health/
Check out the link above. PROBABLY what you’ve been led to believe about Congressional health is FALSE. They also DO contribute to Social Security. They do NOT get their same salary as a pension benefit. A lot of what you “know” is WRONG, my fellow Americans. Ask yourself who benefits and how from your believing these LIES.
