Would You Vote For A Candidate That Wants National Health Care?
in the U.S.A.? Well good luck, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, the top recipients of campaign donations so far from the pharmaceutical and health care industries is Republican Mitt Romney-$228,260
Democrat Barack Obama-$161,124
Democrat Hillary Clinton-$146,000
Tell me that they aren't getting paid off to keep health care private!

No. I’m not a big fan of socialism in any form.

No, I wouldn’t vote for someone promoting a “National Health Care Plan.” I still believe in personal responsibility and accountability. Generally speaking, the majority of those who have no health insurance, are those who REFUSED to do well in school. And let’s face it, school is “Free,” a “Universal Education Plan” if you will. The teachers all come from the same basic education pool. The administrators, from the same pool. So, where’s the problem? Without an education, the likelihood of landing the well paying job with all of the benefits is slim to none. If you want health insurance, work for it!
AND, the last thing anyone REALLY wants is for big brother government to get involved. Can you recall back when Clinton was president? He turned healthcare over to Hillary –we have to keep the First Lady entertained…, her idea of cutting the cost of health care was to turn it over to the insurance companies. Let THEM make the decisions about what tests and procedures are needed. Call it HMO. What a phuquing joke! You had no continuity of care — meaning you never saw the same doctor twice, the insurnce companies were always vetoing the doctor’s diagnosis and plan for treatment. AND worse of all, while the mortality rate went up, the cost of healthcare did too! Brilliant! Pure phuquing genius. If you vote for it, you’ll get exactly what you deserve!

The donations will make them moderate their views on universal health care. But popular demand and the fact that there is an actual crisis, will force the next president to support a full medical safety net for people who are uninsured.

Wow – Hillary is getting that much from pharma and she claims to want to kill their industry. You can BET that she won’t kill her cash cow, and that national health care won’t ever come to fruition. Granted, she will find a way to blame the republicans for it, most likey…
And, no, I would not vote for someone that wants national health care. My doctor came to the US from Canada and has told me how long people there have to wait for tests and treatments and surgeries. What a nightmare.
December 13th, 2009 at 7:04 am
Absolutely I would.
December 13th, 2009 at 9:52 am
yes siree.
December 13th, 2009 at 12:05 pm
Yeah, I would, as would most of Americanshttp://www.pollingreport.com/health3.htm
December 13th, 2009 at 12:52 pm
No, theres no way.
Romneys plan (that already has worked in MA) is not a socialized system that burdens tax payers.
Hillary wants to give a free ride to those that already have one in order to get more votes. Anyone that think Hillary actually cares about them is deeply misguided.

No. Next.

Nobody has suggested National HEALTH CARE! What’s been suggested is national HEALTH INSURANCE. The problem isn’t so much with the HEALTH CARE industry as it is with the HEALTH INSURANCE industry. Does a hospital or doctor care who cuts the check? hell no…as long as they get paid in full and on time. The HEALTH INSURANCE industry are poor payers and hold back the check as long as they can. Beside that, they tend to be very picky about whom they insure…which means doctors and hospitals sometimes don’t get paid at all. The ‘right’ for lack of a better designation keeps up the argument that someone, somewhere wants the government to take over all the HEALTH CARE facilities and put doctors on salary…why they want to muddy the waters like that is a mystery. As far as I know the HEALTH CARE industry is in favor of a national HEALTH INSURANCE fund….getting paid is good for business…not getting paid isn’t. Give it a think!

The amounts say something, don’t they? The real question is who has the biggest stake in private health insurance.
December 14th, 2009 at 6:24 am
As Americans, we have an obligation to our families, our neigbors and ourselves, to try to improve the health of our communities and our nation as a whole. Voting for a candidate who supports national healthcare is the only way we’ll change the broken healthcare system we have today.
That’s why I’m voting for John Edwards.
December 14th, 2009 at 7:22 am
NO! The only way the country can afford it like the candidates are proposing it would be to Nationalize the entire health care system including the drug manufacturers.
Do I think our health care system could be better? Sure. But having the government run the whole deal would be a colossal screw up. Every program that is run by the government has about 65% waste in funds due to buracracy.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:21 am
Mitt will definately vote against it. He is making a bundle from them. Health care for all is a good idea, even if I have to pay more. We do have compassion for the sickly and elderly.
December 14th, 2009 at 4:58 pm
Depends on what else they stand for . I will never vote for or against a candidate because of one issue. We need a candidate that will fight for health care reform. We need to take capitalism out of health care.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
No
Look at England, Canada,& France They have free healthcare and it is terrible. You wait years for service.
France the best doctors opt out so have to pay entire amount yourself to see a good doctor.
It sounds like a good idea, just doesn’t work
Remember when goverment controls it
it is $4 for the politician ,$1 for the program of our money
December 15th, 2009 at 2:06 am
Health should stay private!! Nationalizing health care will be the trigger that will send us over the edge to a full blown recession. Yes there needs to be some reform, but putting it in the hands of the government will be a huge mistake!

Interesting considering that the Health Care industry fought Romney’s plan in Massachusettes every step of the way.
Did they have a change of heart?
I would be interested in seeing where you got those numbers, very interested.
BTW: Although my politics seem to be linning up with Giuliani, I’m inclined to think that Romney has the best chance to beat Satan and will get my vote pending developments.
December 15th, 2009 at 10:19 am
No, I wouldn’t.
December 15th, 2009 at 1:55 pm
No I would not.
December 15th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
I was wondering why she isn’t as outspoken as she used to be.
December 15th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
Absolutely NOT. It won’t work here just like it hasn’t worked in England, Canada, Cuba, etc…
December 15th, 2009 at 10:05 pm

I have MS a genetic diease that showed it’s ugly head when I was only 23 wtf I have no insurance because no one will cover me i have pre existing condition Had no insurance before diagnosed because who hell thinks they will get a diease like this in thier 20’s so national health care would help me greatly I can’t even afford my meds most months and my husband makes good money, we have two mortages on one house and live month to month all because of this stupid diease which i did nothing to cause or ask for but alls well because someday God will give us all perfect bodies

BaBa Booey.

Our Government officials are being paid off by pharmaceutical companies, so as to allow these companies to charge exuberant prices for their drugs. The elected officials are being paid off with cash and the promise of high paying jobs in these companies when their political careers are over. Also onlyte middle class are paying for medical, the poor plus illegals don’t have to pay, and the rich don’t care. We need a national health care system. n seconed thoughts I am not sure about the government running it it will be a mess in very short time.
December 16th, 2009 at 11:16 am
Nope. If there is national health care watch your taxes go sky high. Endless waits for major surgery and doctors being told what they can charge. Guess what kind of treatment you are going to get if THAT happens? No thanks !! I prefer it in the private sector where it belongs with competition in what is known as the “Free Market System”.
December 16th, 2009 at 12:57 pm
No. Besides, the Dems “national health care” pitch is a scam, an attempt at taking control of of a large, critical part of the government. That’s a big step toward destroying capitalism and forcing socialism onto America.
GIVING something to someone who makes no effort to get it for themselves i.e. THE AMERICAN ENTITLEMNENT SYSTEM, which ideally would give all our wealth away to the whole friggin’ world, is the fast track to fourth world status.
Except for Hillary. She’d be privileged, rich, whatever the f she wanted to be, just like the bigshots who ran the Politburo in the now defunct USSR.
December 16th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
YES!
December 16th, 2009 at 11:40 pm
Let’s wait and see what happens. You seem to think that Pharma is their sole source of campaign donations. Maybe they won’t cow tow to the donors and do the right thing anyway. Whatever happens we still have a health care crisis in this country that we are going to have to solve now or later. The longer we wait the worse it is going to get.
Another thought. Perhaps Clinton and Obama are already convinced we need health care reform and Romney needs more convincing. By the way for companies as big as pharma. $140,000 is a drop in the bucket.
December 17th, 2009 at 3:42 am
Never. Why? Do I think some bureaucrat knows my health requirements better than me and my doctor?
If the answer is no, then there no reason to want national health care. This is only my business.
December 17th, 2009 at 6:36 am
My vote goes to the one that will keep out the illegal scum.
