Any medical assistants in Texas intereseted in helping me?

I am wanting to become a Medical assistant and for a school project im supposed to interview someone in the medical field with at least 5 years expierence. I would go out and interview someone but i just gave birrt 09-25-09! 1. Can I have your name? Can you spell your first and last name for me?

2. Verify the address of the medical facility. What is the name of the facility? Specialty?

3. How long have you worked for the facility?

4. How long have you been in the medical field?

5. Please list the daily job duties that you perform?

6. What do you like about your job?

7. What do you dislike about your job?

8. How many patients does your facility see in an average day?

9. Which certification (RMA/CMA) does your doctor prefer, if any? (RMA=Registered Medical Assistant and CMA=Certified Medical Assistant) RMA certification is through AMT- the American Medical Technologists and CMA certification is through NCCT- the National Center for Competency Testing. These are two different organizations but both are nationally certified.

10. Do you perform venipunctures? (blood draws)

11. Do you perform injections?

12. What is the worst patient case you have seen?

13. What questions do you ask the patient before the doctor comes in?

14. Do you have to go back in the room to follow up once the doctor has seen the patient?

15. What are your hours? Do you work weekends?

16. Do you wear scrubs? Does your facility require the same color scrubs for everyone?

17. Do you have to wear your hair up?

18. What other professional attire guidelines do you have to meet? (nails, makeup, jewelry, tattoos, piercings etc.)

19. Does your facility use EMR's (Electronic Medical Records)

20. Does your facility require CPR/FA, Hep B injection series, and Tb (Tuberculosis) injection?

21. Ask any other questions that you can think of or are interested in.

22. Make sure to thank the Medical Assistant for their time.
