None of the medical shows are realistic. They compress a year’s worth of excitement into 1 hour. Most hospital work is routine coughs and temperatures, minor injuries etc. There isn’t enough time to have sex with nurses in spare rooms, (if you can find a store room that has enough empty space in it) and they don’t all look like they do on TV, most nurses are older and mean looking. They eat raw meat and drink vinegar. The hospital couldn’t function without them.

ER definately NOT! Scrubs is more of a comedy, so I’d go for Grey’s anatomy. It’s also the best medicine based serial I know. It’s not just entertaining, but actually interesting. But of course, the whole affairs thing doesn’t happen in real (I suppose!).

I have actually been asked that question before. I work in an ER, but life is WAY more like Scrubs. We have fun we laugh, we pull practical jokes on one another all the time. I would be Carla – sassy and fun all at the same time.

When do you have time to watchTV? And why would you want to? Life’s too short.

I haven’t watched much of Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy but watched a lot of ER in School.

Yes, Scrubs is a comedy, but besides the blatant comedy-type gimicks, it seems to hit more home than the others in showing what actual day to day dilemas and interactions are in the hospital when you are a resident or student. It would take me an hour to try and explain why, but I’m just going to say that not everything is a black and white and one dimensional as ER and Greys, and Scubs seems to understand that so it gets my vote.

    DR QUINN MEDICINE WOMAN

    oh yeah, best answer.

I do Not Watch Many of These Shows, but Scrubs Gets my Vote, Apparently they Desire to Be Technically Accurate, Aside From Being Funny.

ER has definitely lost it’s medical interest. Grey’s anatomy is nothing more than an evening soap operal. Scrub’s is a ‘nice’ comedy. I prefer ‘House’ – it’s more thought provoking with actual diseases, symptoms, and scenarios.
