designs on scrubs?

Discount Medical Scrubs

I don't like the new trend of like designs and such on scrubs. I think they (and me, one of these days) should stick to the classic unisex, Ciel Blue, standard medical scrubs and nothing different (except the white coats, of course, and maybe exceptions for only nurses)
@daisy: exactly!
@Michele S

Well, I think design scrubs are probably more distracting to other doctors and patients, thus diminishing the quality of service. Maybe only a very little, but it's still diminishing. You could be spending more time with your patients, than time trying to find the "right" scrubs.
@ thematrix1119: And I hope you will thank me for the -10 you are receiving after my report, thanks ^^

    I kinda agree that the designs are distracting sometimes, but I think that is the point of them. Maybe they are supposed to distract the kid getting a needle poke, or pt or whatever. Also I know first hand that it can be very depressing being in the hospital for a child ,it is comforting to the child to see thier favorite character on the scrubs. But surgeons and reg doc should stick to basics. Different hospitals around here use the colors to designate either the specialty or the level of acheivement, so I think that sometimes you may end up with an unattractive color.( Like PLUM) I work at a fabric store so we sell alot of fabric for scrubs, which are really easy to make, if you can sew they take maybe an hour and a half. Whats nice about that is you get to pick the design and color, fit & just about any cotton or cotton blend will work. We also sell the Ceil blue which IS called hospital blue.

    It looks more professional too, and they’re probably cheaper. Plus they’re just going to get dirty.

    Not to be rude. But who cares. Its about the quality of care and compassion not the look of the scrubs

    I see alot of nurses wearing cartoon characters on their scrubs ,and unless you work in peds, it seems kind of dumb and immature…why would well educated people want to do that to their careers?

    I think a lot of the designs these days are a welcome site. Disney scrubs to take care of kids in for example, and if everyone wore the same old drab green or grey, it would probably make your hospital visit a lot worse then it already is. Instead of trying to brighten up your day a little.
