    Generally speaking, no. I have worked in health insurance over 20 yrs and have visited hundreds of billing sites including those in hospitals and unless the coder is inside a clinic, and usually not even then, they don’t wear scrubs.

    My mom’s been in medical billing for like 15 years. She’s worked in a clinic, an office, and hospitals and she’s never had to wear scrubs. So I would think no, but it may just depend on the hospital.
