Does The Entire Health Care Reform Debate Strike Anyone Else As Being Largely Irrelevant And Beside The Point?
1. The for profit health care industry has poured billions of our dollars into the pockets of every D.C. politician (all parties) for decades for the sole purpose of protecting it's interests. Does anyone out there think for one minute that anyone working in the federal government would or could stick it to the rich and help the poor? Why would they?
2. If by some miracle real health care reform, say for instance Medicare for everyone, could be achieved how much good could that do without equally sweeping food industry reform. The U.S. food industry produces food-like substances that are ever higher in fat, sugar, salt, carcinogens, steroids, hormones, manipulated genes and that's just what we know about. The only things that aren't in our food anymore are nutrients. How much good would it do for us to fix our health care system if our food industry continues to poison us?
3. Say we wave our magic wand again and provide full access to quality health care and the best, most nutritious food, not only for everyone in the U.S. but everyone in the world. How long will our new paradise last if every individual on the planet continues to think of human reproduction, resource consumption and lifespan as inalienable, individual rights? As long as people continue to live and act as though the Earth's capacity and resources are infinite, we're all screwed. What good would it do for us to fix health care and the food industry if it only leads to our entire species choking on it's own overpopulation?
Aren't we getting it all backwards?
Shouldn't we start by breaking it to everyone on the planet that, before we can hope to have a cleaner, happier world, we'll have to find a way to send the global, human population into a sustained decline?

I think there is more to our life than what we see with our eyes & touch with our hands. I know in my own life when I feel that everything I am working for is impossible I can see if I put my mind down to being positive about life things start changing. Years ago I was eating junk & addicted to that life. A friend prayed for me, not to God but focused energy. So my mind was treated to start doing what would be healthier for me. I stopped needing so much junk. I now eat mostly salads that are filled with healthy food & I enjoy eathing this way…My point is that we individually have to save the world by saving ourself. My biggest obstacle now is debt. So I have faith which is really hard cause most people in my situation would suicide or become homeless. I am not focused on that. I know my intention is to have the right people come into my life to advise me on how to handle my debt. I know once I am clear I will have all I need & stay in my house or move to some place better. This is how people recovery. They discipline themselves to stay focused on what they want & they end up succeeding from what I have seen. Our President is a person with that kind of pattern. You seem to think everyone is a crook but they are not. He is slick though. I do think he taps into the universal energy which in Christianity is a God force. He had many chances to get nasty during the campaign but he didn’t & he had faith things would work out & then did. So this is one way to succeed. I think we only see in life that which reflects us, where we are at in life. So there are people who can walk on water but until we evolve to that level we don’t see them.
My life is a million times better now & I have been through what some would call tragedy. So I don’t need you to break anything to me. I will break it to you that the way you think is limited & there are a lot of ways to think besides with these limitations. So No, it has a great importance in how we are all going to do better in life. Those who fear will have more to fear & those who live in faith will see more they can have faith in.

Only Satan does not need health care but for us mortals we tend to get sick sometimes and it would be nice to have quality health care without leaving me bankrupt or dead. I guess Republicans are immune to sickness. But not stupidity.

And that’s exactly why eugenics (abortion, forced sterilization, racism, etc.) is such an important plank in the progressive liberal platform.

Typical sound good idea that would flop.
There are so obstacles that I could not name them all however in a perfect world.
In a perfect world every one would work hard and every thing would be free yes comrade?

You do realize that it is the poor that have children don’t you? Populations that are well off don’t grow.
The highest growing segments of populations are the ones that have no life plan that children can interfere with. That is generally the poor who have no reason to wait and save their resources to accomplish something because they don’t see life getting better in the future than they are currently. So why wait?
Segments of populations that have goals typically decline in population size. They don’t have as much time for children. And they have reasons to wait until later to do so.
If you truly want the population to decline, then pay everyone to go to college and make something of themselves.
