How are scrubs suppose to fit?

I will be going into my school's medical program next year and once a week we will have to wear scrubs. I bought mine recently and know they are too big, but before I go get them altered I would like to know hot scrubs are suppose to fit. Like how long the top is, how long the bottom is suppose to be, etc.
It probably seems like a dumb question... but I want to wear them correctly. So thanks for answers!

Top should be long enough to where if you bend over you don’t show off your underwear. Or if you are standing you don’t show off your stomach. This is not very professional and have seen this several occasions and have asked employees to get new scrubs. As for the length of your pants you don’t want them to long as where the drag on the floor. I suggest that you wear the shoes that you will most frequently wear when getting fitted for alterations and have them cut a little bit below the ankles where as they cover some of the shoe on top. You don’t want them to short either. I hope this helps.
