How does nursing school work?? Is it just in one classroom then on to clinicals or do you switch around?

I am just curious.. is a general nursing school do you start with a group of students as new as you are and then just go to that same classroom and have the same teachers until your finished or is it something that you take several different classes with different topics, teachers, and students? Anyone been through nursing school to give me a general idea?

I am a nurse and have finished nursing school. Honestly, you go in with the same group and leave with the same group of nursing classmates. You all generally have the same teachers and it is pure hell.
However, I would really advise people not to go into the field. You are treated like absolute DIRT as a nurse..most of it will come from other nurses..that’s just how the field is. Also..google "No nursing jobs". For every ONE nursing position, about 80-135 nurses apply. Is that really the kind of field someone wants to enter?

While each college and university has their own specific requirements, here is a link to OSU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing course plan:

All of those are your nursing courses. You start with the lowest numbered course (in order from the top) and take those classes. Obviously, you’ll be taking more than one a semester. These are the courses you take AFTER you’ve completed the general education and science requirements.
For an Associate Degree in Nursing, it works the same way; you just have less of the prerequisites for "liberal arts" classes and less "theory and management" courses in the nursing program.
