I going crazy not finding a job?! I need to eat! I have medical issues! I need insurance! Money for gas! ugh!?

I've been searching and searching. Applying and even filling out those questionnaires that take FOREVER to fill out. I can count on one hand how many phone calls that I've gotten back. I barely even get a yes or no on all these applications I have submitted. Only to see the same job listed that has not been filled. I feel that I have a great resume. I've even had a professional re do the resume for me. I've applied at so many websites (job hunting sites) , temp agencies, and even applied to places that I was over qualified for and under qualified for. I'm even tired of these stupid people contacting me about some illegal scams and jobs that don't even exist. I even pin pointed that those Infamous African emails are coming from major job hunting sites! At this point I'm even willing to scrub toilets and clean hotel rooms to get money. Sad part is no one will hire me. I don't qualify for assistance and Cobra is way too expensive. Why post a job if your not hiring! Tired, tired, tired, sooo miserable....

Have you tried applying at nursing homes or group homes (if there are any in your area). It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s a pay check and most have health insurance as well. I suggest these two places because (from experience) the turnover is very high and they will hire pretty much anyone. You can apply for food stamps to cover the issue of not being able to eat. Some states have government health insurance for individuals who are low-income and have been without insurance for at least 6 months. If you have prescriptions that you must take, call your doctors’ and ask for samples (mine provided me with my name-brand drug for 6 months last year (when I was unemployed). Keep persevering… there are many that are looking for work! If you have a plasma donation center in your town, you can donate twice per week for cash.

Don’t mess with the stupid scams on the internet. Look through your city’s classified adds and network with friends/family/acquaintances, etc. Let everyone know you are looking for a job. Visit indiviual businesses on the internet and search job openings… then you know they won’t be scams.

You can always apply at jobs that are always hiring like supermarkets, retail stores, restaurants, hotel, babysit someones children. They’re not the best job but will get you by in the meantime. You can also go to a temp agency, or employment agency.
