Ideas and websites for medical/doctor theme party?
Discount Medical Scrubs
I am throwing a wedding shower for my friend. She is a recently graduated doctor and the groom is also in the medical field. They met at a hospital. I want to do a party with a medical theme. For example, the invitations will be little pretend prescriptions, everyone will be asked to wear scrubs, the drink stirrers will be tongue depressors etc. I need more ideas or websites please! I have found lots of theme party websites but none have medical themes ![]()
And thank you to the first answerer for sending me to a porn site. Everyone please ignore and report it.

Ozark Woman has such great ideas its hard to think of anything to add! LOL You could have the game, "Operation" as a fun game to play, a play on the old standard "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" would be pin the body part/organ on the skeleton and use band aids to attach them.

just think of your doctors office when you visit, you could use a bedpan as a punch bowl, you could use those little throw up pans for snacks and such. use those little paper mask to hold mints.
Get some medicine bottles to put nuts and mints in. get a lot of the medicine bottles the same size and make little shot glasses out of them. Get some rubber surgical gloves and freeze water in the shape of a hand to put in the punch bowl, get some surgical tubing and make necklaces out of them. Find some name tags and write Dr, so and so for name tags, or nurse or nurses assistant so and so.
For the cake, make a sheet cake that looks like an operating table, have a little bride or groom on the table. make it in that hospital green and white! Get some syringes in the biggest size you can, get rid of the needle part, put them on the cake. Fill some up with jello, then let people give themselves a "shot of jello", you could mix it with or with out alcohol! Use lots of bandaids to wrap or tape things together.
If you can conjure some stethoscopes up, have the bride to be wear them. Good luck!

the only party I’ve gone to with a medical theme was a Halloween party thrown by Med students in the mid-80s. Every one dressed up as an illness or a disease. I remember dancing with three toga viruses and a long chat with the HLA blood antigen system. There was dry ice in the punch, "She blinded me with science" was one of the dance tunes and I had a great time.
