I dont think you have to wear anything under your scrubs. Maybe a cami..or i’ve seen people wear long sleeved shirts under them but you’d be safe with a cami. You wear your hair back just like a lot of other professions so you dont leave hairs everywhere or it wont get caught in machinery or anything- its just not sanitary to have your hairs getting left around.

    Hey there,

I can explain a few things for you, as far as the belly button piercing, you will be leaning over machinery and patients, so they just don’t want you to end up hurting yourself somehow with it in (however if you have one, nobody is going to know or check you for one, so do what you want with that…I don’t see how anything is going to hurt you with it in anyway) This also goes for the stud earrings, hoops or dangles could get caught up in machinery, patients hair/clothing, etc. They are really just doing this to protect you and themselves.

As far as the scrubs, underwear only under the pants is fine. And most people will wear a white or (Matching colored to the scrubs) T-shirt. Depending on the neckline, just your bra would be fine. But again, go by their rules with this.

As far as the footies, they are talking about the the ankle socks, the ones that do not come above the shoe. You need to wear long white socks.

And yes, wear your hair in a nice pony tail, this looks professional, not to mention….It’s one of their rules.

Well, just follow their rules. You are the one that enrolled at this school for this profession. They are preparing you for when you actually start working in a hospital/doctors office where there might be even more strict rules and guidelines.

Study well, and Good Luck to you with your endeavor!
