Is it embarrassing to be a Male Nurse?

I was thinking of getting into the medical field, maybe as a nurse or a doctor. I have a friend who is (gay) btw, he is doing nursing right now, and all his classmates seem to be female....I am now having second thoughts. I mean sure it would be pretty sweet being surrounded by hot female nurses, but then again...it seems like a woman's job.

Also on the TV show scrubs they make fun of male nurses.

Can I get some input on this subject, or if you're a male (straight) nurse I'd love to hear your answers.

    Actually male nurses are much in demand, because patients often need to be moved. While female nurses can do it, it takes fewer if one is a male.
    My daughter had a male nurse when she was in labor and liked him.

    Hell no,i think the ladies love a man who is a nurse im not but if i had the chance i probably would but yeah like i said the ladies love a man with ambition especially when it cxomes to the medical field

    There is no such thing as a "woman job." If you find happiness in a job, then you might as well do it. I mean who cares what other people think? Its about you, not someone else and if someone can’t be nice to you because of your career choice, then ignore them. All that matters is You and what you want to do. Don’t let some dumb distraction block your path.
