    It could be that they may want you to go into the work areas. If you are wearing scrubs, you won’t look so out of place. They may even ask you to perform some types of tasks that would normally be performed in scrubs and they want to see how you work out.

    Why would it be weird? Isn’t that what you would wear to work every day? You wouldn’t wear a business suit if you were applying for a construction job would you? If you were applying to be an insurance saleman would you wear blue jeans to the interview? It’s all relevant.

    My wife is in HR… trust me… if you want the job, wear the scrubs. It would only be weird if you were going for a job that didn’t require you to wear scrubs everyday.

    at the catholic hospital i worked at the sisters would not hire you if you did not wear scrubs
    reasons..germs/staff infections, etc.
    they would even wash them for you so they knew they were clean
    the doctors that wore suits could not work their if they did not use the provided lab coats and leave the worn coats for washing

    i agree and think it is weird that you wouldn’t know this
    i personally had less home illness when the hospital washed my uniforms then when i brought them home for washing (i did not stay long with that company either)
    i would be insisting they wash the scrubs
