Is SCRUBS medically accurate?
Discount Medical Scrubs
I enjoyed watching "Scrubs" (the TV show) a couple of times now. They are talking about all the issues with their patients. Though obviously some of what they say must be correct, I am wondering, if they made sure that absolutely everything they say is correct, or at least was considered to be correct at the time of filming? Wikipedia told me that they had medical advisers who helped on the show, but that does not precisely answer it.
It's not that I want to talk medical advice from the show - I would never be that careless. I wondered if they thought of the possibility, that someone might take what they say for real and do something stupid.
I think it is medically accurate, though I just guess that it is. If some doctor here, who watched more than just a little of "Scrubs" could verify this for me, I would be grateful!

Some of it is and some of it isn’t. I watch and catch mistakes sometimes. But, it’s obvious they have medical advisers for the show. They do a pretty decent job for a sit-com that rarely takes itself serious. Now the behavior they exhibit is by no means what you would see in any hospital. But, comedy sometimes means creating absurd situations amid very serious, straight-laced sceniaos. I think I find it even funnier than non-medical people because I’ve been in those situations. I really wish I could lay into fat, lazy, stupid, smoking patients like Dr. Cox does.
