I watch all the medical dramas from E.R to scrubs to Greys ! and im just wondering what its like to be a real doctor as im really considering studying medicine !

    scrubs= nothing like it
    ER and Greys= some similarities

    Usually the doctors only hands-on work is surgery and writing orders for the rest of the staff to implement – the nurses do the bulk of the work ;-)

    why don’t You go into a hospital, search for an open examination or changing room, search for a doctor kittel, wear it on and walk around with a stethoscope inside the hospital. Search where patients are sitting (waiting) and offer them to take them in advance out of the queue if they follow You. There start examining them. Search for beautiful young girls, this might be more exciting for You to examine them.

    Imagine for a moment being responsible for the life of another human being surgically capable of preserving life yet still vulnerable to scientific limitations and human error. Doctors have malpractice insurance to cover their mistakes, but that does not eliminate the overwhelming amount of stress and guilt associated with a mistaken diagnosis. I respect the individual who chooses to pursue a career in medicine.
