medical device rep job interview and shadow?

Discount Medical Scrubs

i have a job interview and shadow at a hospital next week. my interviewer told me not to dress up on his behalf. he is wearing scrubs, as we will be going into surgery. should i wear scrubs then? or should i stick with business casual? will it seem like i need to be micro-managed if i ask? thank you!

    I would still dress business casual. When you go into surgery you’re going to have to wear sterile gowns anyway. Here’s the problem: if your interview goes well, you might be introduced to the HR Director or other executives. You won’t get a 2nd chance at a first impression with these folks. As a general rule, you’re always better off being overdressed than the other way around.
