Medical job shadowing?

Discount Medical Scrubs

I am a high school student and an interested in shadowing a medical professional. Such as a trauma nurse, CRNA, or scrub nurse. Do you know of any programs where they set things like this up?

    Some universities have mentoring programs that arrange shadowing. It can be a valuable experience. Talk to your high school counselor and ask them to advise you and guide you. Your school nurse may have some contacts and may be able to arrange a day with a hospital RN or physician.

    Many hospitals offer programs like this. You would not have to go through your high school. I would research what hospitals are within driving distance of your home, then look on their website or call to see what job-shadow programs are available. University hospitals are more likely to offer job-shadow programs. After you do a job-shadow, make sure you send a thank-you note, they will appreciate it!!
