Discount Medical Scrubs
My medical knowledge is based on the show Scrubs. In one of the shows one of the characters played by Branden Frasier would not stop bleeding from a cut. It ended up being leukemia and he died. My wife keeps getting these bruises all over, she does not know where they come from. They stay on her body for awhile. She has this one on her leg for over 2 weeks now. I did not want to worry her but I do not know how much truth is in the show. Is the bruising something serious or should she take more vitamins or minerals?

If she takes medications that thins the blood, that may be the answer!
Heprin is one drug that does. Lovonox is another. Coumadin is one as well. Coumadin is also know as Warfrin Sodium.
Some Non Steroidal Anti Infammatory drugs have blood thinning charcteristics, too. Ibuprofen and Naproxen Sodium are examples of this. Asprin has that chacteristic as well.
"Blood thinners" are used to treat a variety of illness and medical conditions. Deep Vein Thrombosis or DVT is a very common condition treated (and sometimes prevented)
with blood thinners. Pulmonary embolism is also treated and sometimes prevented with blood thinners. Blood clots is a common term for DVT.

She should go to a dr. call a dermatologist.

Not sure of her age but it is common as capillaries get older and less resilient.
