We need to replace our flooring throughout our whole house (2,600sf) Any ideas for best options?
Discount Medical Scrubs
We have a son with Medical problems, he is tube fed and will often throw up. We have spots throughout the house on the carpet. Even when the spot is scrubbed it will usually leave a stain.
We are trying to find the balance between quality and price. We don't have a lot to spend, but what we put in, we want it to last. We are also planning to re-due our kitchen. The cabinets REALLY need replacing.

In living areas where your son will be . . . you might want to consider linoleum. It is a natural / green product, good for the environment and non-allergenic, that’s why you’ll see it in doctor’s/dentist’s offices. They make linoleum in lots of colors these days . . . It’s pretty, and easy to sanitize / keep clean. http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/article/0,,202857,00.html

Sealed hardwood might be a good choice in more formal areas- it’s pretty easy to keep clean, and long lasting.

We’ve had good results with Ikea kitchen cabinets, they’re inexpensive & last as well as anything (except the most expensive) http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/rooms/kitchen/
In areas where you need carpet, you might want to consider carpet squares . . . buy an extra box when you put it in, and you can pop a new square in, should you get stains . . . .
