What are some of the weird things you have seen if you work in the medical field?

The man that came into the ER with a vacuum cleaner hose attached to his penis. When he left, he asked for "Ethel" back.
The man that came into surgery with an old TV tube up his butt. He said he was cleaning his TV in the cellar in the nude and slipped and fell and the tube went up his butt. I scrubbed on that case. The x-ray was amazing. This was a huge TV tube. You could see it in the intestine broken in half.
Then there was the man who was caught with a woman not his wife. He ran and the husband chased him catching him in a phone booth and boom, right in the privates. This man's scrotum was the size of a soccer ball, no lie. Huge. His penis was raw meat. They had to do a skin graft.
Our x-ray tech told of taking an x-ray of a man who came into the ER with something up his butt. When he was taking the x-ray he swore he saw little feet coming out of the man's butt. Sure enough, it was a Barbie doll up there. Whenever they tried to pull it out, the arms would go up and it wouldn't come out.
Too funny. People really take the cake.

Try working with people who have dementia and/or Alzheimer’s Disease. I’m NOT criticizing these people – they can’t help what they do. But, 16 years of getting the crap beat out of you, (me) and trying to convince someone there’s ‘NO ONE ELSE IN THE ROOM’…
get the idea? Oh, and when you talk about your anal fixated patients, please remember the HIPPA rules and regs. No names, and only talk about it to those who, "Have a need to know".

A kid came into the ER and a dog had bitten his lower lip off. It was bleeding really bad but it looked so strange.

A man bought a "rooster" ring and stuck it around his "rooster" before he got an erection… once he got an erection he could not get rid of it because the blood could not get back past the ring. The ring was made of steel and when my engine got there, there was nothing we could do. We heard the ER had to sedate him and take a pair of bolt cutters to him.

ewwww… why do gay men put such weird things up their butts? you don’t see females getting objects stuck up their vaginas like that.
my sister works as a CNA and she said a woman came in with 7 sewing needles stuck up under the skin in her arm. she said that she stuck the sewing needles in there because the pain "made the voices stop"

um there was these two guys that came in that had beat each other to a bloody pulp and were at the er together laughing and jokeing im like okay….
OOOH and this 16 and 17 came in he had it peirced and she had braces and it got caught in her braces kinda funny
oooh and females do do stange this this girl had one of those big thick weiners stuck up there it had broken in half and even weirder it had a condom on it

I worked in derm, and a patient-obese-came in and had an infection in a skin fold, complaining of painful itching. Upon examination, she actually had maggots eating away at the underside of her breasts. It almost made me gag, it was by far the most disgusting thing to tweeze maggots out of a human body!

There are so many things I could write, but one that pops into my mind it a woman who went into a coma-due to speticemia-….the cause was her gums and teeth. Apparently, she never brushed!
They had planned to extract all her teeth later that day
